Going to Australia on Monday wheeee, finally getting a real break :D
I’ve just watched Forrest Gump, a great movie, and now I know where the phrase “Run Forrest, run!” comes from. The film is filled with some good quotes, but one particularly striking to me is this:
“… there’s only so much fortune a man really needs, and the rest is just for showing off…”. I love the ending too, not cheesy and definitely not the kind of ending where you are left off wondering about something not revealed.

I’ve lost couple of things over the past 25 years I’ve lived, some trivial, some significant, some heart wrenching :(. On the long journey home yesterday after a nice dinner, a certain intangible thing I lost late last year suddenly hit me hard that my heart literally felt painful :(. I technically was the one who threw it away, but just last night I felt stupid that I did what I did and maybe that’s why it was painful.
Life is indeed like a rollercoaster.
There’s this hawker center nearby my office that sells good bakutteh

The meat is thick, tender and in generous serving, soup is peppery and not diluted <3, still the best and cheapest bkt I’ve ever had in Singapore.
quoted from http://rawafish.blogspot.com/2011/06/whats-cooking-prime-ribs.html
“Despite all the things on my plate, I strongly believe that I cannot compromise on the kids’ and husband’s meals and that we all should have nutritious, homecooked meals every single day. So I try my best to cook, and we do eat in every single day on the weekdays. On weekends, we compromise and do eat out. But it’s more often because we are always out of home on weekends.”
I’m really hoping I get a wife like that in the future (if I get to have any wife at all :P). A wife that gives a thought about her family nutrition and willing to cook for them, I don’t really care if her cooking is not tasty, heck I can live with simple rice meat vege all my life, but it’s that thought that counts ;)
